Oakville Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels began in England during World War II and was introduced into Canada in Brantford, Ontario in 1963. In 1976 the Kiwanis Club of Oakville inaugurated a Meals on Wheels program in Oakville – the Oakville Kiwanis Meals on Wheels delivered its first meals in October of that year and has been operated continuously on a five days a week basis since then. Today Oakville Meals on Wheels has in excess of 300 clients and delivers approximately 2100 meals/food items per month.

To deliver nutritious meals to residents of Oakville who are unable to attend to their own nutritional needs, but wish to continue living independently in their community.
