help us by volunteering deliver mealsWe are always looking for special caring individuals to join our team.  Please call us to enquire how your skills and time might be invested in our agency. We are always looking for drivers to deliver a lunchtime hot meal to clients in Oakville.  Deliveries take a typical route would be made up of 5 – 8 meals.

We can accept donations online through our charity page on CanadaHelps.org. By using Canada Helps you can make a one-time donation, or offer continued support by setting up a monthy contribution.

Tax Receipts

We are a registered Canadian Charity and we will issue a tax receipt for any donation over $20 dollars. Our Charitable registration number is 12995-0515-R0001 and you can view our charity on the CRA website (opens on a new page). For those who choose to donate online, a tax receipt will be issued from Canada Helps.

Volunteer: Fitzie James

On April 10, 1981, Fitzie James began a remarkable 35 year career with Oakville Meals on Wheels. Fitzie embodies the true spirit of volunteerism: making a difference in the life of others, by giving selflessly of herself. Not only has she delivered a hot meal twice weekly for 35 of Meals on Wheels’ 40 years in Oakville, but she has also volunteered at Oakville Hospital pharmacy for 25 years, in Patient Transportation for 22 years and transports seniors to the Meals on Wheels program at the Sir John Colborne Center.
